TEMBEA started with an oblong canvas tote bag that Atsushi Hayasaki made for himself and expanded when he began thinking of different practical uses for it.

The canvas used for TEMBEA is an original fabric woven from a high-quality long-fibered combed yarn that gives it a characteristic sheen and soft texture.

For Mr. Hayasaki, the quality of the fabric went without saying and it was the designs that would set the bags apart. Although he imagined a wide range of applications, the use is ultimately left to the owner.

The bags for CRAFTED FOR LEXUS employ the same canvas, while focusing on practical features such as the shape and texture of the handle, as well as inner pockets.
